FireWatcher Central Oregon

Terms of Service

FireWatcher is not for operational, safety, or evacuation decisions. Aircraft classification shown on this site is an automated, inferred guess based on public ADS-B data — it is a hint, not a fact, and it will sometimes be wrong. Fire, weather, and aircraft information may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. For evacuation orders, official fire status, and safety decisions, always use official sources: your local fire authority, county emergency management, and weather.gov.

1. The service

FireWatcher is a dashboard that aggregates public wildfire, weather, and aircraft-tracking data for a fixed location (Prineville, Oregon) and, for anyone with an account, an optional self-selected location within the United States. It is provided for informational and situational-awareness purposes only.

2. Cost and donations

The service is free to use. There is no paid tier and no feature of the dashboard is withheld from anyone; an account is needed only to save a custom location, and accounts are free. Donations are voluntary, are processed by Stripe, and unlock nothing — donors see exactly what every other visitor sees.

Donations are one-time only. There is no monthly or recurring option, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel later. Because a donation buys no entitlement — there is nothing on this site that is gated — giving or not giving changes nothing about what you can see.

3. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any fire, weather, or aircraft data, and we do not guarantee uptime of any underlying data source, several of which (notably aircraft tracking) are operated by third parties with no service-level agreement.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FireWatcher and its operators are not liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from use of, or reliance on, the service, including decisions made about evacuation, travel, or property based on information shown here.

5. Data sources and attribution

Aircraft classification (identifying likely fire-related aircraft) is our own inference layer built on top of adsb.lol's public data and is not part of, or endorsed by, adsb.lol.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use automated means to scrape, republish, or resell data from this service in bulk. Reasonable personal use of the dashboard is fine.
